Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a qualified and passionate Design & Technology Teacher to work in secondary schools in the Wellingborough area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic DT specialist looking for a new role, whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role may involve teaching areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering, depending on your specialism and the needs of the school.
Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver creative and engaging DT lessons
2. Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
3. Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
4. Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
5. Contribute to the wider life of the department and school
Requirements
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
7. Experience teaching Design & Technology in a UK secondary school
8. Strong subject knowledge in at least one DT specialism
9. Good classroom management skills
10. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
