About the Role
Joining the Customer Solutions team, the Project Manager will oversee a wide range of projects supporting the SSP global digital strategy. The Project Manager role will report into the Head of Customer Solutions - Projects and Programmes, and will work alongside a team of engineers, Business Analysts, testers and third parties to deliver customer focussed solutions.
Main Responsibilities
1. Work with stakeholders across all levels of the business to define the project scope and deliverables
2. Manage project resources including internal teams and 3rd party teams to deliver projects
3. Manage and control the project budget, providing accurate and updated forecasts for OPEX and CAPEX costs including labour, software, hardware costs, and supplier costs
4. Provide clear status reports for project progress, with supporting project documentation, including RAID logs and project plans
5. Managing and delivering against project plans
6. Managing a RAID log, to effectively assign owners, hold to account and escalate as required to de-risk and mitigate issues
7. Effectively forecast and manage project spend within the agree budget
8. Ensure high quality products are delivered to customers, and are transitioned effectively into support
Skills and Knowledge Required
Essential
9. Strong technical Project Management experience, in either a Waterfall or Agile delivery environment
10. Proven record of successfully managing project finances
11. Excellent inter-personal skills with a can-do approach and the confidence to communicate with colleagues at all levels of the organisation hierarchy
12. Strong business analysis skills to support identifying and gathering requirements
13. Analytical approach to assessing options and providing recommendations
14. High level of attention to detail with a meticulous attitude to their work to ensure accuracy
15. Experience with Microsoft 365 products
16. Collaborative and collegiate in approach
17. Strong influencing skills, tenacious and able to work independently
18. Demonstrable experience of mentoring and coaching team members, getting the best technical delivery out of the team
19. Experience and leadership in an agile delivery environment, including experience of agile programming practices – Scrum/Kanban/Test Driven Development/Pair Programming/Continuous Integration - demonstrating capability to become an agile and DevOps champion

20. Delivery of digital / customer solutions projects
21. Working within a retail / hospitality environment
22. Prince 2, PMP, APM or other project management qualifications
