Job Purpose:
As a
Senior Care Quality Officer
, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance across our services. You will be responsible for
reviewing cases, attending reviews, completing care plans, conducting medication audits, responding to complaints, and overseeing quality audits
. Additionally, you will supervise the
Assistant Quality Administrator
, ensuring that all quality assurance processes run smoothly.
**Key Responsibilities:
Quality Monitoring & Compliance:**
* Conduct
regular case reviews
to ensure care plans align with best practices and regulatory standards.
* Attend
multi-disciplinary reviews
and liaise with external stakeholders such as social workers, healthcare professionals, and families.
* Oversee
medication audits
, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
* Complete quality audits
to monitor service delivery and identify areas for improvement.
Care Planning & Complaint Handling:
* Develop, review, and update
person-centred care plans
in line with individual needs.
* Investigate and
respond to complaints
in a timely and professional manner, implementing necessary actions for improvement.
* Ensure that all
quality-related documentation
is maintained accurately and up to date.
Leadership & Supervision:
* Provide
guidance and supervision
to the
Assistant Quality Administrator
, ensuring their tasks align with quality objectives.
* Support the wider team in understanding and adhering to
quality standards
and
best practices
.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Experience in
care planning
,
medication audits
, and
compliance monitoring
within a care setting.
* Strong
knowledge of CQC regulations
and local authority compliance requirements.
* Excellent
communication and leadership skills
, with experience supervising or mentoring staff.
* Ability to
analyse reports
, identify trends, and implement quality improvements.
* Strong
problem-solving skills
and ability to manage
complaints effectively
.
* Proficiency in using
care management software
and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Relevant
health and social care qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or above)
or
* Demonstrated at least two years' experience within the care industry.
* A strong understanding of
safeguarding policies and best practices
.
* Ability to work independently and manage a
busy workload
.
