This role involves working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Executive Leadership Team, ensuring our legal strategies align with our business objectives and driving innovative legal solutions to support our growth. Oversee contract templates to maximize profitability and minimize risk. Support the drafting and execution of General Amendment Agreements. Advise on legal risks and commercial arrangements. Interpret and apply international conventions, regulations, and legislation, with a focus on contract law, aviation law, and Defence Procurement Regulations. Provide legal advice on existing contracts and growth opportunities. Lead dispute resolution and litigation efforts. Procure and manage external legal counsel. Champion AirTanker values and behaviours. Provide legal awareness to Commercial and Supply Chain Teams. Engage with government/regulatory bodies for legal instruments such as FAOCs and ITAR. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Qualified Barrister or Solicitor. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role and industry. Experience in the aerospace industry and public procurement. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage crisis situations effectively. Proven track record in dispute management and litigation.
