About The Role
* Seeking a Unity developer with expertise in optimizing game performance across platforms, including mobile.
* The candidate should prioritize performance optimization from the start, familiar with profiling techniques and tools for various platforms.
* Platforms include Android & iOS, PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/S, and Switch, with mobile hardware understanding being essential. Knowledge of Unity’s memory and rendering pipelines is required.
* The role involves gameplay mechanics development and addressing challenges on low-end devices, such as custom cloth mechanics, shader-based effects, crowd simulations, texture memory management, and working with artists on visual effects within GPU budgets.
Qualifications
You should apply if you have:
* 5+ years of professional Unity development experience on relevant platforms.
* Deep knowledge of C#.
* Experience with Unity’s profiler and performance analysis tools.
* Proficiency with Visual Studio for development and debugging.
* A desire to learn new technologies and share findings with the team.
* Familiarity with Unity’s Addressable Assets and Render Pipelines.
Highly Desirable Experience
* URP familiarity.
* Custom shader development outside Shader Graph.
* Multiplayer development experience.
* Experience with console submission requirements.
* Asset and rendering optimization techniques.
* Use of platform-specific profiling tools like XCode, Android Studio, or Console Dev Kits.
