What will I be doing?
You will be joining a permanent management team, including experienced colleagues and those at the beginning of their management careers. You’ll work in a relationship-based and strengths-based management environment, collaborating across the service to provide excellent support to families and develop your team. You’ll be encouraged to be autonomous, with support from colleagues and your line manager.
You’ll lead a Family Safeguarding team, which is permanently staffed with a mix of experienced and newly qualified workers. You will work alongside skilled adult-focused practitioners and maintain positive relationships with partner agencies involved in our Family Safeguarding model. Our teams have received positive feedback for their proactive support and quality care planning during recent inspections and diagnostics.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
You might have supervisory experience and be looking to step into your first management role, or you may already have management experience seeking a new challenge. You should be passionate about relationship-based social work, proud of your profession, and capable of reflective and creative thinking to support your team and organization.
You must be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England and have substantial experience working with children and families in social work.
