Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with a well established and growing accountancy practice based in Portsmouth (Port Solent) to recruit an Audit Manager. The Audit Manager will receive a salary of up to £70,000 plus attractive benefits including hybrid remote working!
Primary responsibilities;
* Lead and manage audit assignments for a varied client portfolio
* Plan, execute, and complete audits in line with relevant standards and deadlines
* Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of 2-3 audit staff
* Review audit work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact
* Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly
* Ensure compliance with UK auditing and accounting standards
* Support partners with business development and client proposals where required
Key experience and attributes;
* ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
* Proven experience in audit within a practice environment
* Experience managing audit engagements and supervising staff
* Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Commercial awareness and client-focused approach
