An established engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in Facilities Management and Operational Engineering to support a diverse portfolio of commercial properties across London.
This is a varied consultancy role combining:
* Building services engineering
* Client advisory
* Project management
* Site inspections
* Maintenance strategy
* Design & specification work
The position offers a balance of office, hybrid, and site-based work with opportunities to influence projects from concept through to handover.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical & electrical maintenance support
Condition surveys and technical audits
Design, specification & project delivery
FM maintenance contract tendering
Plantroom inspections and compliance reviews
Contractor and specialist coordination
Budgeting advice and troubleshooting support
Client relationship management
Supporting junior engineers and team development
Ideal Candidate
10+ years’ experience in Building Services Engineering
Strong mechanical design background
Experience within FM / operational engineering environments
Excellent technical problem-solving ability
Confident client-facing communication skills
Ability to manage priorities and deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
Desirable:
HNC/HND in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
Experience managing hard FM maintenance contracts
