A large SEN School based in Newham are on the hunt for an Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs for an ASAP start.
You will be tasked with supporting a wide variation of needs including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, Speech and Language and more! The students' needs vary in severity some will be verbal, some non-verbal.
If you have any experience with children aged 11+ SEN we would love to hear from you! This does not have to be direct school experience; any transferable skills will be considered.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
* ASD Teaching Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant
* Support students with SEN on a day-to-day basis (ASD, SLD, SP&L and more)
* Secondary opportunities
* Liaising with Class Teachers and the SENDCO regarding progress of children
* Provide a stimulating and safe learning environment for children.
* Delivering specialist interventions
* Liaising with the school's therapists
* ASAP Start - Long-Term - Full Time
* £90 - £110 per day
* Located in the Borough of Newham
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
* ASD Teaching Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant
* Experience of supporting children (16+) with SEN - Autism, PMLD, SLD, SP&L - Ideal
* Childcare related experience, ideally with a SEN focus - Ideal
* You MUST be resilient, patient, calm-natured, empathetic & adaptable
* A hardworking and driven individual who will exceed all expectations of the role requirements
