Job Role: Management Accounts Assistant
Location: Stoke on Trent ST1
Salary: £28,000pa
Duration: Permanent
We are currently seeking an Assistant in Management Accounts for one of our local clients. The main purpose of this role is to provide support with the day-to-day functions of the finance team. You will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller and supporting with projects when required.
Daily Duties
* Managing the purchase ledger process, including invoice matching, batching, and coding
* Supporting weekly payment runs and maintaining supplier relationships
* Assisting with CHAPS, BACS, and other payment processes
* Posting and reconciling transactions within the cash book
* Completing daily bank reconciliations accurately and on time
* Acting as a first point of contact for finance queries (phone and email)
* Supporting month-end processes and financial reporting
* Assisting with treasury back-office activities
What we’re looking for:
* AAT qualified (or working towards)
* At least 3 years’ experience within an accounting or finance role
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
* Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships
* Good IT skills and experience with finance systems
* Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
