Are you passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives? We are looking for a Behaviour Mentor to join a thriving secondary school in Newport. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils aged 11–16 who have additional learning needs (ALN) and may display challenging behaviour.
About the Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
* Help students remove barriers to learning and develop positive relationships.
* Use sports-based interventions to engage and motivate learners.
* Work closely with teachers and support staff as part of a dedicated team.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with young people with behavioural or emotional needs.
* Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build trust.
* A sporting background or coaching experience (highly desirable).
* Reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic about helping pupils succeed.
Essential Requirements
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* EWC registration (or willingness to apply).
* Two recent references.
* Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
