Exciting opportunity to join a one of the largest privately owned waste management companies in Britain, offering services across industrial, domestic, and hazardous waste sectors. They are looking to hire a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter with a strong mechanical background to support the smooth running of the site. This is a hands-on role requiring practical experience in the repair, maintenance, and installation of a wide variety of industrial equipment. The Role: • Repair and maintenance of pumps (all types), gearboxes, hydraulic systems, filter presses, screw presses, and agitated tanks. • Welding and pipework fabrication (especially for tank repairs and installations). • Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and carrying out routine maintenance. • Maintain and update maintenance reports. • Comply with Group H&S policies. Required Experience: • Apprentice-trained or time-served multi-skilled engineer. • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. • Strong diagnostic and maintenance skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems. • Comfortable using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
