We are seeking a hands-on and forward-thinking Financial Controller to lead the finance function and play a vital role for this well-established manufacturing business. This interim position is available from November for an initial 4-6-month period to support a period of transition whilst they re-recruit the role permanently. This is a broad and dynamic role, ideal for a technically strong and commercially minded finance professional looking to grow within a supportive and collaborative business. Key Responsibilities Oversee the finance function, managing one Accounts Administrator and day-to-day accounting operations Manage cashflow forecasting, fixed assets, foreign currency transactions, and bank reconciliations Prepare and post journals, complete monthly reconciliations and produce timely management accounts Administer monthly payroll, annual budgeting and assist with year-end statutory audits Maintain accurate reporting to the CEO, Chairman and Parent Company Support financial entry into Group accounting software (training provided) Take a key role in the ERP migration to SAP, working with consultants and internal teams Ensure accurate financial data during transition across current systems (NAV, Sapo & Excel) Provide accurate financial data, reports, and audit files in line with group deadlines and compliance What We're Looking For Qualified accountant (CIMA or equivalent) or QBE Strong technical accounting background with commercial acumen Excellent IT and Excel skills Experience with ERP systems (NAV, Sapo or SAP ideal, but not essential) A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to support wider business objectives A confident communicator with the ability to work across all levels of the business Organised, reliable and able to thrive under pressure and tight deadlines A positive, solutions-focused mindset with a genuine interest in continuous improvement If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call Charles Maidment from the Hays senior interim team.
