The Role As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the day‑to‑day care and development of the children living at Dan Y Coed in Swansea. Working closely with a skilled team, you will ensure each child feels safe, respected, and empowered. Key responsibilities include: Providing personalised care, emotional support, and daily guidance Supporting education, routines, and structured activities Promoting independence and positive behaviour Encouraging community engagement within Swansea Following individual care plans and safeguarding procedures Working collaboratively with colleagues and senior staff This Support Worker position offers the chance to build strong, positive relationships and have a lasting impact on children’s lives in Swansea. What We’re Looking For A caring, patient, and resilient approach Passion for working with children in a residential setting Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn and develop professionally Flexibility to work shift patterns, including weekends and occasional nights Basic IT skills Full UK driving licence (essential) This role involves regulated activity with children and requires an enhanced DBS check with a barred list check.
