You are invited to join our 'Outstanding' team at New River Green Children's Centre as a Qualified Nursery Education Worker. This role offers a chance to support children in reaching their full potential while working in a nurturing, play‑based environment.
£41,175 per year – estimated. Contract: Part time. New. Eligible for a £1,000 recruitment bonus.
Eligibility Criteria
* Applying for the first role at an early years provider required by section 40(2) of the Childcare Act 2006 to implement the early years foundation stage – other than a childminder or reception class.
* Returning after a break of at least six months.
* Secured a role that involves directly working with children for at least 70 % of the time.
* Employed by a provider named in a delivery plan agreed between the LA and DfE as part of the pilot.
Additional Eligibility & Conditions
* Returners: defined as those who left the profession at least 6 months before applying to rejoin. Those who left less than 6 months before are not eligible for an incentive.
* Apprenticeships: an apprentice who gains a position in the same EY setting during their apprenticeship is eligible for an incentive when moving from apprentice to employee, provided the apprenticeship is passed and they are taken on in a permanent role.
* Temporary and part‑time workers: only those on permanent contracts are eligible for an incentive.
Role Responsibilities
You will implement best practices in early years education, focusing on the prime areas of learning and development. Working closely with the lead practitioner and senior staff, you will create a nurturing, play‑based environment that fosters emotional stability, independence, and creativity. Your day‑to‑day tasks include:
* Providing high‑quality childcare and education to support all children in reaching their full potential.
* Planning, delivering, and evaluating curriculum and activities aligned with early years guidance.
* Observing children’s development and maintaining accurate records.
* Collaboration with colleagues to maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
