Our Energy Unit delivers projects to a wide range of clients across the energy sector on a range of large-scale projects providing support such as general energy projects, transmission and distribution, power generation, renewable energy, and nuclear power. Joining us you will have the opportunity to get involved in high profile projects within the industry and to develop engineering knowledge across structural engineering and the wider civil aspect. You will be working with a multidisciplinary design team to deliver front end engineering design and detailed design of energy projects. As an summer placement engineer, your work may include: Producing design of civil works and buildings (steel or concrete structure) to Eurocode or British Standards using structural design software and hand calculations. Producing design calculation reports Producing 2D drawings and 3D BIM (Building Information Modelling) modelling Attending design review meetings as required Site visit/survey/meetings as required Providing support to the team with any other tasks given by the project or team lead You'll be working with graduates, experienced professionals, and other students so an internship with us is the perfect opportunity to learn from a variety of people while understanding our values and culture.
