Account Manager

We are looking for a proactive and adaptable Account Manager to join our team in London. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality; someone eager to help the world’s biggest brands grow, and who can apply this mindset to help Adyen scale. You are excited to work with a global, multicultural team collaboratively and are a keen problem solver. Your focus will be on delivering an outstanding customer experience, finding and delivering on new opportunities, and driving mutual success for Adyen and our customers.

Our Account Managers are encouraged to challenge each other and sharpen ideas as a team because winning is more important than ego. In this role, you’ll work on a wide portfolio of accounts across various verticals, developing customer relationships and driving growth for your accounts alongside talented and driven colleagues.

At Adyen, the Account Management (AM) team is crucial to our growth and success, expanding the Adyen brand globally. You’ll manage relationships with international merchants across multiple industries and channels, working on cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with high autonomy. You’ll also become an expert in the global payments landscape and develop your skills through our AM Academy.


What You’ll Do:

1. Collaboration: Work closely with your team and independently with strategic merchants on various accounts.
2. Relationship management: Build trust and long-term partnerships to reduce churn and maximize account value.
3. Commercial acumen: Identify growth opportunities and lead discussions to help grow accounts and meet financial targets.
4. Project management: Prioritize and manage projects with varying timelines, leveraging internal support as needed.
5. Feedback: Provide customer feedback to improve products and merchant experience.
6. Independence: Manage tasks proactively to meet deadlines and resolve issues for smooth workflow and high-quality results.


Who You Are:

* 3-6 years of experience in client-facing, commercial roles within enterprise software, financial services, or related fields.
* Enjoy engaging with others and developing strong relationships internally and externally.
* A self-starter with curiosity, challenging yourself to drive customer growth.
* Motivated by targets, with a proven track record of growth within portfolios.
* Experience in presenting, negotiating, and structuring complex pricing models.
* Highly organized with excellent time management and efficiency skills.
* Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus.
