Job Description
At AECOM, we're delivering a better world through infrastructure and sustainability projects. We are seeking an experienced Energy and Carbon Coordinator to join our Sustainability and Decarbonisation Advisory team based in Basingstoke. The role involves delivering energy, carbon, and climate mitigation services to help clients meet Net Zero targets, across sectors including residential, public, office, industrial, retail, and education.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in passive design principles, building services, low and zero carbon energy technologies, and embodied carbon. Support and mentoring from technical specialists will be provided.
Responsibilities
1. Deliver net zero carbon strategies for clients.
2. Coordinate with architects and consultants to develop energy and overheating strategies.
3. Conduct passive design analysis and low & zero carbon studies, applying Passivhaus principles.
4. Support responses to Building Safety Regulator for Part L and O submissions.
5. Perform energy and overheating modeling using tools like SAP, HEM, IES, TM54, and bespoke systems.
6. Assist in producing industry guidance and reviewing planning submissions.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in energy, architecture, engineering, or related discipline.
* Professional experience in sustainability, energy consulting, or related fields.
* Knowledge of UK planning system.
* Experience in report writing, energy strategies, and modeling for Part L & O regulations.
* Understanding of Embodied Carbon and lifecycle challenges.
