Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef/pub Manager to join our small friendly team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation as well as running a bar.. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in managing the kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

This is a small village pub so we are looking for someone who is friendly and approachable.

As pub manager you will be responsible for the smooth running of the pub, stock ordering and organising staff Rotas. You will also be tasked with organising live music, quiz nights and games nights.

Duties

* Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow.
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
* Oversee food production processes, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
* Collaborate with team members to create innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
* Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and carry out ordering as necessary to ensure adequate stock levels.
* Monitor portion control and presentation of dishes before serving to guarantee consistency and quality.
* Manage kitchen cleanliness and organisation, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.

Requirements

* Proven experience in a similar role within the restaurant and Bar experiance
* Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques.
* Supervising experience is essential, along with effective team management abilities.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
* A passion for cooking and an eagerness to create exceptional dining experiences for guests.
* Previous experience in food production and running a bar environment is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.21-£18.70 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
