H&A is seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager (APM) for our new Worcester, MA office. We seek an architect with 10+ years’ experience in managing architectural projects for educational, commercial, and/or institutional projects, responsible for allocating resources to ensure smooth workflow.
The APM manages client relationships and project success, including client satisfaction, work quality, and profitability. Responsibilities cover all project phases through construction: budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, estimating, construction documents, bidding, and administration, with authority to direct all activities. We promote professionalism and collaboration; this role models these values. Strong client, team management, and communication skills are essential.
Minimum Qualifications
* Professional degree (Master or Bachelor) in Architecture.
* U.S. Licensed Architect preferred.
* 10+ years’ project management experience across all phases, including post-occupancy, in educational, commercial, or municipal/institutional projects.
* Ability to maintain and build client relationships, and secure new projects (with the team).
* Experience with Massachusetts Chapter 149 and Chapter 30B is preferred but not required.
* Understanding of project financial management, contract administration, budgeting, scheduling, and negotiations.
* Strong skills in managing fees, schedules, and staffing.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience leading a collaborative, diverse, team-oriented environment.
* Leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills.
* Highly organized and responsive.
