SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Make a Real Difference Every Day!

We are seeking a committed and compassionate SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the Kinson area of Bournemouth. This is a rewarding full-time opportunity to make a lasting impact on a child’s educational journey.

The Role

You will be working closely on a 1:1 basis with a child who has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), providing tailored support to help them access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Supporting the child’s academic, social, and emotional development
* Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCo
* Implementing strategies outlined in the EHCP
* Creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
* Encouraging independence and positive behaviour

What We’re Looking For

* Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable
* A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for making a difference in a child’s life
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE, TA qualification) are a bonus but not essential
