Position Overview
We currently have an opportunity in our Portering Services Department for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to work within the Radiology department at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
The post holder will respond to requests for the movement of patients and goods in an appropriate and timely manner, involving lifting, transferring, pushing and pulling substantial weight with the aid of mechanical equipment where required.

We are offering a permanent contract of employment: 37.5‑hour full‑time post, 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00. Rates of pay are £13.45 per hour.

Main duties
Portering Services provides essential support to all areas of the hospital. The porter will react to various challenges within the working environment, and the workload may increase due to external factors such as patient capacity. The porter will work as part of a team, contributing to the smooth running of the service, providing an efficient response to requests for patient movement, assisting in emergency situations, collecting and delivering samples and medicines, etc. A flexible approach is essential, and the post holder will be expected to use own initiative.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
