Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer – Facilities Management
Location: Surrey
Salary: £20-21 per hour
Hours: Full-time (Monday – Friday, with occasional overtime)
Contract: 2 months
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Facilities Management team, providing both planned and reactive maintenance services across a variety of commercial properties. This is a hands-on role requiring a flexible approach and the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of building services issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across electrical, mechanical, and building fabric disciplines.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in building systems, implementing effective solutions.
* Undertake basic electrical and mechanical works in compliance with relevant regulations.
* Liaise with clients and site staff to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
* Keep accurate maintenance records and complete job reports.
* Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety procedures and statutory compliance.
* Assist in the coordination of specialist contractors when required.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within a Facilities Management environment.
* Strong working knowledge of building systems – ideally with an electrical or mechanical bias.
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
* Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
* Recognised trade qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) in electrical, mechanical, or building services.
* 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations (desirable if electrically biased).
* Full UK driving licence (may be required depending on role).
