Graduate Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly capable and numerate Graduate Analyst to join our London team. This role combines engineering, analytical, financial, commercial, legal and client-facing responsibilities across power plant design, operations, energy solutions, and investments. The job offers a unique opportunity to work across a variety of different business lines in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

The position is ideally suited to a recent engineering graduate with a strong willingness to learn, analytical skills, genuine interest in sustainable energy, technology and finance. Working directly with the team, you will contribute to project design, business case development, investment analysis, and business operations, with significant exposure to senior management and external partners.


Key Responsibilities

* Support origination and evaluation of distributed solar and CHP power plant investments.
* Build and maintain financial models and project business cases.
* Assist in preparing investor materials, business plans, and due diligence.
* Assist in investment management, presentations, updates, and marketing.
* Contribute to asset performance reporting and portfolio analytics.
* Work with engineering and operations teams to structure data and reporting for assets.
* Perform market, regulatory, and competitor research within the distributed energy and C&I sectors.
* Support the process of obtaining all regulatory licences required for the energy supply and trading business lines.
* Contribute to development of commercial offers and tariff modelling for C&I clients.
* Assist with reporting and process documentation related to risk management and compliance.
* Support budgeting, cost tracking, and management reporting across group entities.
* Assist in preparing presentations, proposals, and internal papers for investment committees.
* Maintain key documentation and support group compliance, governance, and ESG tracking.
* Participate in operational improvement projects and help develop internal systems and processes.
* Perform ad-hoc research and analysis in support of new initiatives or partnerships.


About You

Education:

* A recent BEng/MEng graduate.


Skills:

* Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
* High attention to detail and ability to work independently on complex problems.
* Strong written communication and presentation skills.
* An interest in renewable energy, sustainability, or energy markets.
* An interest to develop skills in legal, commercial, operations, and wider business disciplines.
* Familiarity with solar design tools (HelioScope, PVsyst, SolarEdge), financial modelling, or an understanding of accounting/finance/economics is advantageous.

Location

* On-Site with frequent business travel as required.
* Due to the collaborative and cross-functional nature of the work, regular remote/hybrid working is not compatible with the role.
