An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic nurse to join our Clinical Haematology specialist nurse team. As a Haematology Nurse Specialist, you will play a key role in providing high‑quality, compassionate care to patients within the service and work alongside multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver care that promotes the health and wellbeing of patients.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert clinical nursing care to patients with haematological conditions.
* Assess patient needs, develop, and implement care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
* Administer treatments including factor concentrates and other haematological therapies.
* Offer patient education and support regarding treatment options, self‑management strategies, and lifestyle changes.
* Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary, ensuring best practices and evidence‑based care are followed.
* Take the lead in coordinating complex patient cases and act as a point of contact for patients and families.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
* Mentor and support junior nursing staff, promoting professional development and high standards of patient care.
* Participate in clinical audits, research, and quality improvement projects.
