Valuation Surveyor (MRICS) Hours: 37 hours per week Working Pattern: Hybrid minimum 2 days per week in the office Role Overview Working within a commercial property function, this role is focused on delivering annual property asset valuations. Valuations are undertaken by external agents and cover a substantial commercial investment portfolio and a significant operational portfolio. The role is responsible for the robust check and challenge of all valuation outputs. Key Responsibilities Review, check and challenge asset valuations submitted by external valuers for investment and operational property portfolios. Verify valuation input data against property records to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assess valuation methodologies, assumptions and variables to determine whether valuations can be approved or require further clarification. Liaise with external valuers and ensure all correspondence is accurately recorded on the dedicated check and challenge system. Record approval of valuations once all issues have been resolved. Undertake additional property-related tasks as required, which may include rent reviews, lease renewals, data reviews and updating the property management database. Requirements MRICS qualification. Strong understanding of commercial property valuation methodologies. Proven experience in valuing both investment and operational properties. Experience within a commercial valuation environment, either in a similar organisation or private practice.
