Role
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our Out of Hospital Community Wound Healing Service at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust. This role involves delivering high-quality wound care across multiple settings, including clinics and patients’ homes, under the supervision of Registered Nurses. You will play a key part in supporting patients, families, and carers, ensuring safe and effective care that aligns with our Trust values of Compassion, Openness, Pride, Partnership, Improve, Learn, and Respect.
Contract Details
* Fixed‑term contract for 12 months
* Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence, have independent means of transport, and ensure their vehicle is covered by business insurance
* Interviews will take place on 10.03.2026

Responsibilities
* Provide delegated wound care and support to patients in clinics and community settings.
* Assist in implementing and evaluating care plans under the guidance of Registered Nurses.
* Report patient progress and elevate concerns promptly to senior clinicians.
* Educate patients and carers on wound care, tissue viability, and pressure ulcer prevention.
* Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to Trust policies and infection control standards.
* Participate in service improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
* Support stock management and ensure safe use of equipment.
* Work flexibly across Coventry and Warwickshire, including home visits.
Qualifications
* Full UK driving licence.
* Independence to travel across Coventry and Warwickshire.
* Motivated, compassionate support worker experience preferred.
