Job Description
Join our team as an Integration & Verification Engineer and take a leading role in ensuring the reliability and performance of complex embedded systems for defence applications. You will focus on integration testing at the system level, designing and executing comprehensive test plans for both automation and manual testing. Your expertise in Red Hat Linux, BASH scripting, and virtualization technologies will be critical in validating hardware-software components and optimizing sonar applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge defence projects where precision, compliance, and innovation are paramount.
Location: Plymouth
On-site: 5 days per week
Seniority: Mid-Senior
Clearance: Candidates must be willing and eligible to obtain SC clearance.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct integration testing at the system level for hardware and software components in embedded systems.
* Design, execute, and maintain test plans for both automation and manual testing scenarios.
* Utilize BASH scripting and Red Hat Linux to streamline testing processes and environments.
* Leverage virtualization and Docker for efficient deployment and testing of containerized applications.
* Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues during testing to ensure systems meet rigorous performance and compliance standards.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and optimize sonar applications and embedded systems.
Qualifications
Required Skills
* 5+ years of experience in integration testing within complex embedded systems.
* Strong knowledge of Red Hat Linux, BASH scripting, and virtualization technologies.
* Hands-on experience in automation testing, complemented by manual testing expertise.
* Proficiency with Docker for containerized applications.
* Proven ability to write comprehensive test plans and execute system-level validation.
* Experience in testing within defence or sonar systems domains is highly desirable.

Required Qualifications

* Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks for hardware-software integration.
* Knowledge of defence standards and compliance requirements.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems.
* Exposure to sonar systems or related defence applications.
