Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lawnmower Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of landscaping and outdoor equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. The Lawnmower Technician will be involved in both routine maintenance and complex repairs, contributing to the delivery of high-quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities
* Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on lawn care equipment, including mowers
* Perform fabrication, welding, and assembly tasks as required for equipment repair or modification
* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators and forklifts safely and effectively
* Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose faults and implement solutions
* Carry out electrical work including soldering and electrical system troubleshooting
* Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used
* Assist with heavy lifting of equipment or materials, adhering to health and safety guidelines
* Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair work and maintenance procedures clearly to clients
* Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with safety regulations
Qualifications
* Proven experience with fabrication, welding, soldering, electrical systems, or mechanical repairs is highly desirable
* Knowledge of schematics, assembly processes, and equipment repair techniques
* Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery such as excavators or forklifts preferred
* Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to perform maintenance on diverse equipment types
* Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and outdoor tasks in various weather conditions
* Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude towards clients
* Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting equipment between sites but not essential
