Position : Mazak Setter/OperatorSalary: Between £40,000 - £53,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus overtime plus benefitsHours: Monday to Thursday 14:45 Midnight (classed as 2nd shift)You would need to work the 1st shift until training has been completed successfully.The 1st Shift hours are 6:30am to 3:15pm Monday to Thursday and 6am to 1pm Friday each weekLocation: Commutable from Camberley, Bracknell, Farnborough, Farnham, Guildford, Aldershot and surrounding areasCompanyAn established and growing manufacturing company who precision machined parts and solutions to various industries, mainly Aerospace and Defence, are on the lookout for a Turning Setter/Operator using Mazak machinery If youre looking for a role and company where you will receive job satisfaction, rewards and recognition, are hard working with a positive and a flexible attitude to work with excellent attention to detail and can work effectively and efficiently to meet target deadlines then this role could be for youThe environment is modern, clean and working with new cutting edge technologies.ResponsibilitiesThe role will involve to set, and operate Mazak CNC turning and milling machines, producing precision components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications. The role ensures machines are correctly prepared, tooling is optimised, and components are produced efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.Set, and operate CNC turning/milling machinesSet up machines, tooling, and materials for upcoming jobs within required timeframesRead, understand, and edit CNC programs where requiredInterpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate productionUse measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges) to inspect componentsCarry out in-process and final inspection to ensure parts meet required standardsAchieve required output levels while maintaining quality and efficiencyMonitor machine performance and make adjustments as requiredMaintain accurate and up-to-date records, including work orders and verification ofoperationsIdentify and resolve basic technical issues, escalating where requiredRequirementsQualification in Engineering or a related field (desirable)35 years experience in a similar CNC machining roleExperience programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machinesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsCompetent in the use of measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)Good mathematical and technical skillsExperience with structured problem solvingAbility to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining qualityIf this role sounds of interest, please apply now and send your most up to date CV to Jane at TechNichols Resourcing to be considered.
