Live 9 Events Ltd trading as Gedling Bouncy Castle and Live 9 Events, based at Cotgrave in Nottingham.
The role involves delivering and setting up equipment locally and can sometimes result in national jobs across the UK. A driving license is essential, and all applicants must be aged 21 years or older due to insurance.
We are an inflatable and entertainment hire company based in Cotgrave in Nottingham. Our company trades two main brands Gedling Bouncy Castle Hire where our main delivery areas are Nottingham, Derby and Leicester. The types of events we service are Birthday Parties, Weddings, Fun Days, Christenings, University Events and Company Events.
We also trade as Live 9 Events Ltd, which focuses more on entertainment for corporate events such as Fun Days, University Events, Company Events and covers national jobs across the UK, some places could include London, Coventry, Birmingham, Cheltenham and places further afield.
With both trading companies, we offer a wide variety of equipment, including Inflatable Hire, Rodeos & Simulator Hire, Soft Play Hire, Traditional and Interactive Games Hire and Marquee Hire. Our company operates at both indoor and outdoor locations.
We are a family-run company and work in a relaxed environment. Currently, a team of 5 full-time staff. During weekends and busy periods, we have up to 10 part-time and ad-hoc staff which many have been with our team for 3 – 4 years, who help with large events and busy hire days.

Role:
Due to the nature of our work, this role varies from delivering and setting up inflatables and other equipment to operating equipment on bookings such as a rodeo bulls, supervising inflatables on fun days, as well as warehouse work such as cleaning and maintaining, loading and unloading equipment. Each booking is at a different location, which keeps the work interesting and fun.
Anyone thinking of taking this role needs to be prepared for unsociable hours, long shifts up to 15 hours and compulsory overtime on weekends and occasionally midweek. The work is physically demanding, and you must be willing to work as part of a team and be a team player.
Part 1 of the Role - Technician:
The Technician ensures the safe arrival of equipment to the customer. Their duties include delivering, installing and de-rigging entertainment equipment to customers in accordance with the company's operational procedures, rules and schedules.
From time to time, the technician will also operate equipment on bookings such as a rodeo bulls, fun food machines and supervise equipment in line with their training to ensure that the highest level of safety is maintained.
Part 2 of the Role - Warehouse Operative:
The Warehouse Operative ensures the correct dispatch of equipment, storage, and cleaning. Their duties include prepping equipment, checking for damage or missing items, cleaning and maintenance of equipment to the company's expected levels, storing the equipment in an organised manner and keeping the warehouse tidy.
Alongside the above, the warehouse worker is required to assist with the unloading and loading of equipment into vehicles, perform vehicle reset checks, inspection logs and stock checks. All of these duties are under the supervision and assistance of the operations manager.
Warehouse operative work is carried out Midweek.

In the two aspects of this role, you must ensure you communicate well with customers and management.
You must maintain a high level of professionalism and quality service.
Any equipment defects or customer issues must be reported appropriately to your manager as soon as reasonably possible.

* Aged 21 years or over – due to driving insurance
* Full UK driving license - no points preferred
* Physically fit – the role involves heavy lifting and is physically demanding
* Work weekends with long hours up to 15 hours per shift during busy periods

Salary Per Week
£ £560.50
34.5 hours per week with overtime paid at £13 p/h with overtime at £14 p/h.
We provide an opportunity to earn approximately £560.50 per week with compulsory overtime.
Contract Running: Beginning of April - End of August with possible extension into September
Example of Hours:
* 3 Days in the Week – 9:00 am – 5:00 pm with 30-minute unpaid break
* Saturday & Sunday – guaranteed 6 hours with compulsory overtime (shifts can be up to 15 hours)
Please note that times vary to suit the business needs. We give as much notice as possible for start and end times; however, as we work in events these can change at very short notice so expect most of the weekend to be working long hours. There will also be events during the week.
