Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer (Contract)
Location: King’s Lynn, Norfolk (On-site)
Contract Length: 4 Months
Rate: £35 per hour – Outside IR35
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
Overview:
We are currently seeking a multidisciplinary Electrical Project Engineer to support a short-term engineering project based in King’s Lynn. This is a 4-month contract outside IR35, ideal for an experienced engineer comfortable working across electrical design, estimating, and project delivery.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting electrical engineering activities from design through to project coordination, ensuring technical deliverables are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce and modify electrical schematics and panel drawings using AutoCAD Electrical
* Support electrical design and documentation for project deliverables
* Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and technical proposals
* Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination
* Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
* Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
* Provide technical input during project execution and problem solving
Required Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as an Electrical Project Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer
* Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical
* Experience with estimating and preparing quotations
* Previous project management or project coordination experience
* Ability to manage multiple engineering tasks across project lifecycle
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Electrical engineering background within industrial, manufacturing, automation, or similar sectors
* Rate: £35/hour (Outside IR35)
* Contract Length: 4 months

* Working Arrangement: On-site/office-based
