Norfolk County FA: Recruiting Two Independent Non-Executive Directors Norfolk County FA is the not-for-profit governing body of football in Norfolk. Established in 1881, it governs, regulates, and develops grassroots football across the county under the umbrella of The FA. From its headquarters in Norwich, the Association oversees the local game and operates two Football Development Centres - The FDC and The FDC Open - which provide affordable pitch hire and a range of services to grassroots clubs and the wider community. The Opportunity Two exciting opportunities have arisen to join the Board and help drive forward the Association's vision and ambitions. The Board of Directors is responsible for managing the business affairs of the Association, determining strategy, plans, policies, and financial investment required to achieve its aims. Independent Non-Executive Director (New Business) Key Responsibilities: Work closely with the Association to identify and deliver a pipeline of quality new commercial opportunities. Maintain up-to-date records and develop strategies to convert prospects into realistic opportunities through relationship building. Actively contribute as a Board member, providing strategic oversight and constructively challenging and reviewing the Norfolk County FA strategic plan. Support the Association in maintaining the Safeguarding 365 Standard, ensuring safeguarding is embedded throughout the organisation. Independent Non-Executive Director (Finance) Key Responsibilities: Direct and monitor the business affairs of the Association by determining vision, strategy, plans, policies, and financial investment required to achieve long-term objectives. Oversee financial planning by analysing performance and risks. Maintain constant awareness of the Association's financial position and act proactively to prevent issues. Actively contribute as a Board member, providing strategic oversight and constructively challenging and reviewing the Norfolk County FA strategic plan.
