About the Role
We are looking for a People Operations Specialist to join Geomiq to own the people processes we have built up to help aid operational performance and scalability in the business. This will be a key role in helping to develop Geomiq’s culture and reporting directly to the Head of Talent and Development.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Lifecycle:
* Onboarding and offboarding new and existing employees
* Helping with service desk enquires
HR Policies and Compliance:
* Work with the Head of Talent and Development to continue to develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
* Handle employee relation issues, including disciplinary actions and grievances
* Manage employee records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality
* Maintain HRIS, (we use CharlieHR)
Benefits Administration:
* Administer employee benefit programs
* Assist employees with benefit inquiries
Performance Management:
* Work closely with managers to support on performance-related matters
* Ensure feedback and performance reviews occur in each department on a regular basis
Employee Engagement and Culture:
* Conduct employee surveys to identify areas for improvement
* Foster a positive work environment and promote employee morale and well-being
* Plan and organise employee engagement activities and company-wide celebrations
Office Management:
* Managing and negotiating leases on facilities
* Managing cleaning schedule and costs
* Stocking kitchen
* Health and safety
Employee Communications:
* Manage internal communications such as company newsletters, emails and intranet, (we use confluence)
* Ensure company policies and updates are communicated effectively
* Promote transparency and open communication within Geomiq
What Are We Looking For?
Experience Required:
* Minimum 2-4 years experience within People Operations
* Bachelor's Degree in related field
* Experience building People Operations processes from the ground up and scaling
* Proficiency with HR systems, ideally CharlieHR
* Experience within performance management
* Ability to work independently and drive towards aggressive deadlines
* Experience working in high-growth technology start-ups or scale-ups
* Strong analytical and communication skills, written and verbal
* Proficient with google products
