Mail Sorter

Job Reference: 326530

Location: Mail Sorter - Yorkshire Parcel Hub - Wakefield (WF6 2XX)

Job type: Fixed Term contract (24 months)

Hours: 36:40 hours per week, working 5 days across Wednesday - Sunday, working between 22:00 and 06:00

There has never been a more exciting time to join us! We are reinventing Royal Mail for the future and now is a perfect time to join us on that journey. Each year, we make billions of deliveries possible. Because for us, it's personal. For every person, from every walk of life, we deliver. And you could be part of the team that makes it happen. Bring trust to the doorstep as a Mail Sorter. Keeping our Mail Centres running like clockwork. 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. So that together we can deliver for the people.

You will be required to use manual handling equipment, experience would be desirable but not essential, as full training will be given. It's a shift like no other centre you will cover various indoor roles in a warehouse environment. On your feet and keeping up the pace. Changing from one task to another along the sorting chain, you could be unloading mail from vans, moving it around in trolleys, sorting parcels and letters manually or operating machinery. A mail centre can process over a million items in a shift and you'll be a valuable part of making that happen. And you take it in your stride. Because we deliver much more than just letters and parcels. We deliver for the nation. Interested? Join us and make a difference to the place you call home.
