About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Acute Pain Service as a Clinical Nurse Specialist Pain Service within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The role supports a multidisciplinary team with a strong focus on safety, quality improvement, and patient‑centred care. The post is Monday to Friday 08:00‑16:00; part‑time applications may be considered.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert pain management for acute patients across the region.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and deliver safe, high‑quality care.
* Support the wider pain service team across sites as required.
* Engage in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Band 5 or Band 6 Registered Nurse with experience in pain management.
* Degree‑level education.
* Willingness to undertake non‑medical prescribing at SCQF Level 11.
* Excellent communication and team‑working skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage a demanding caseload.
* Flexible, team‑oriented and committed to delivering person‑centred care.
