We have a duty to ensure Rights of Way (ROW) are safe and free from obstructions. The job is to inspect the Rights of Way (ROW) network at agreed frequencies. To deal with reports of a possible defects and arranging and supervising of necessary maintenance works, within the approved budgets. You will work with volunteer and user groups to support and organise works on rights of way. You will take appropriate enforcement action when required to ensure the proper and lawful use of the Rights of Way (ROW) network and deal with enquiries and requests from ward councillors, Parish Councils, customers, land owners and other stakeholders. The role can be quite physical with a lot of walking and some maintenance tasks like cutting back brambles / hedges. Due to the nature of the role you will need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle or able to demonstrate the ability to travel around the borough to fulfil the role. You will be out and about in all weathers alongside time spent in the office.
