Holiday: 28 days
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

About Us
Unit One Kids is a growing, values-led nursery based in the heart of Guiseley. Our vision is simple: to provide a calm, structured, and nurturing environment where children thrive, families feel supported, and staff feel proud to come to work.
We've hit our enrolment targets ahead of schedule and are preparing to move into a brand-new, bespoke nursery site with its own beautiful outdoor area, designed to enhance learning and play. As we expand, we're strengthening our leadership team to ensure we deliver the highest possible standards of care.
About the Role
We are looking for a confident and experienced Nursery Manager to take the lead on the day-to-day operations of our setting. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on structure, staff support, and ensuring children receive the best possible care and early education.
Whether you're a strong Deputy ready to step up, or an experienced Manager seeking a fresh opportunity, this role gives you autonomy, responsibility, and a genuine opportunity to shape the future of a thriving nursery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery
* Oversee and rota staff effectively, ensuring ratio compliance at all times
* Prepare the setting for Ofsted visits and ensure continued compliance with the EYFS and statutory guidance
* Support and supervise the team to deliver a high-quality, child-centred curriculum
* Provide leadership across all rooms, including our 3+ provision focused on school readiness
* Collaborate on staff development, identifying training needs and supporting progression
* Promote a calm, consistent, and nurturing environment for both staff and children
* Uphold all safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies
What We're Looking For
* Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or above)
* Previous experience in a Deputy or Manager role within an early years setting
* Strong working knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted frameworks
* A practical, solutions-focused leader with a positive and steady approach
* Excellent communication skills and confidence managing a team
* Someone excited to play a key role in shaping and growing a nursery long-term
Our Team & Environment
We have a growing team in place that is experienced, capable, and eager to learn. We have a dedicated baby room leader, and a strong foundation in our 3+ provision, which focuses on helping children transition confidently to school. You will be part of developing this team further, with influence over staffing, structure, and standards.
As we move to our new bespoke setting, you'll be joining at a pivotal moment – with the chance to help build a truly exceptional nursery from the inside out.
What We Offer
* £35,000–£38,000 per year, depending on experience
* Full-time, Monday to Friday
* The opportunity to shape and lead a growing, community-focused nursery
* Full backing from the Managing Director and leadership team
* A nurturing team culture focused on people, not just paperwork
* Plans to expand into a purpose-built site with a large, high-quality outdoor space
* Long-term progression as the nursery continues to grow
