Business Operations and Marketing Manager
We’re on the lookout for a proactive and organised Business Operations and Marketing Manager to join our team and support our vibrant arts community. This is a part-time role (25 hours per week), perfect for someone enthusiastic about the arts.
Job Description
Westbury Arts Centre (WAC) is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. Our goal is to inspire people in Milton Keynes and the surrounding area to live more creative, happier, and healthier lives. We rely on income from space hire, workshops, courses, events, and renting rooms to local artists.
WAC runs its own programme of courses and workshops, managing customer recruitment and earning income from course fees. It also rents out spaces to local arts and wellbeing organisations. The centre is managed by a team of volunteer Trustees responsible for strategy, income generation, and building management.
We are recruiting a proactive and organised Business Operations and Marketing Manager. Reporting to a Trustee, this role is key to income generation and customer satisfaction. You will be the first point of contact for customers, managing enquiries and bookings, coordinating with artists, tutors, and event organisers, and supporting marketing efforts across digital and print platforms.
Job Requirements
* Person specification
* Able to work autonomously, manage workload, and act on own initiative.
* Ability to manage staff (one direct report).
* Good knowledge of office software: Word, Excel, Outlook.
* Accurate administrative skills with attention to detail.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience with Wix, Canva, Mailchimp, and QuickBooks.
* Experience developing digital marketing plans, including social media, websites, newsletters, and email campaigns.
* Ability to write marketing copy.
* Strong numeracy skills and financial management experience.
* Knowledge of adult learning is desirable.
