Senior Product Manager (UK Cards) – Lendable

About Lendable: Lendable is on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. We are one of the UK's newest unicorns with a team of just over 600 people, among the fastest‑growing tech companies in the UK, profitable since 2017, and backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs. Our customers give us the best reviews in the market (4.9 out of 5 on Trustpilot).

* We have rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance.
* We get money into our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days.
* We are expanding into the UK and US markets, targeting credit‑builder customers with a mobile‑app first credit card.

Why Join Us?

* Take ownership across a broad remit and make decisions that drive a material impact from day one.
* Work in small, exceptionally resourceful teams that solve problems smarter than the status quo.
* Build the best technology in-house using new data sources, machine learning and AI to automate heavy lifting.

About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced, strategic, and data‑driven Senior Product Manager to join our Credit Card product team. As a key member of the product team, you will help us scale our customer base exponentially and shape a mobile‑app first credit card that empowers customers to build credit ratings sustainably while offering them a flexible line of credit.

Responsibilities

* Shape our mobile app experience to empower customers to manage their finances.
* Optimize how we acquire new customers for speed and efficiency.
* Improve underwriting capabilities to support best‑in‑class credit decisions.
* Build tools that maximize efficiency for Customer Service and Fraud teams.
* Find new ways to support customers who may be experiencing financial difficulty.
* Collaborate closely with Engineering, Credit, Growth, and Operations to deliver products and grow our cards business.
* Break down complex tasks into bite‑sized deliverables, prioritize projects by impact, and drive high‑quality delivery.
* Champion data‑driven decision making, measure outcomes, and iterate quickly based on learnings.
* Navigate a fast‑paced, evolving fintech landscape, balancing innovation with compliance and risk management.
* Partner with design to ensure our customers’ needs are always at the heart of what we’re building.

Qualifications

* Experience in a product, analytical or commercial role within Tech, Finance or Management Consulting.
* Bonus: experience working in a startup/scale‑up environment.
* Bonus: experience in credit cards, lending or fintech.
* Bias for action: you move fast, get things done, and iterate quickly based on feedback.
* High attention to detail and a “sweat the small things” approach.
* Data‑driven mindset: comfortable challenging assumptions and making decisions supported by data.
* Experience with numerical analysis (Excel and some SQL) and using data to drive real‑world actions.
* Strong communication and leadership skills; capable of adjusting messages for different audiences.
* Established relationships with key stakeholders across data science, developers, compliance and customer service.
* Comfortable working at speed, owning product delivery and design decisions.
* Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and how product can support each stage.
* Agility: adaptable in an unstructured, fast‑moving high‑growth environment.

What You’ll Be Working On

* Own and drive strategy, execution, and growth of a vertical within our expanding cards business.
* Manage delivery of our credit card proposition; define roadmaps, break down problems, and prioritize ruthlessly.
* Champion data‑driven decision making and measure outcomes.
* Define the product roadmap with other Product Managers and Engineering.
* Test and measure impact of new releases and experiments.
* Liaise across teams (data science, operations, developers…) to deliver new features.
* Balance innovation with compliance and risk management.
* Partner with design to keep customer needs central.

How You Will Contribute to the Product Team’s Objectives

* Autonomy: manage a product line, prioritize features independently, create new features, run stand‑ups and planning sessions, own delivery and commercial impacts, optimize developer time, and identify bottlenecks early.
* Problem solving: consistently break down complex business problems into bite‑sized chunks.
* Analysis: comfortable with numerical analysis and using data to drive actions.
* Communication and leadership: communicate clearly and succinctly to all audiences.
* Collaboration: establish close relationships with key stakeholders across all functions.
* Working at speed: take responsibility for implementation and design decisions.
* Process management: solid understanding of the software development life cycle.
* Agility: adaptable in an unstructured, fast‑moving high‑growth environment.

Interview Process

* Quick introduction call with Talent or Product Team.
* Take‑home exercise and debrief (video).
* Final rounds: cultural interview with wider team leads, MD interview, Head of Product / Group PM interview, CPO interview.

Life At Lendable

* Scale one of the world’s most successful fintech companies.
* Best‑in‑class compensation, including equity.
* Work from home every Monday and Friday; onsite in our Shoreditch office on other days.
* Fully stocked kitchen every Tuesday‑Thursday.
* Coverage for private health insurance.
* Equal‑opportunity employer committed to an inclusive workspace.
