Responsibilities
As an Automotive Technician, you would be an integral part of our day to day functions.
* To undertake all wiring, mechanical/hydraulic assembly and inspection of Acklea products as directed in technical drawings and customer specifications.
* Assist other trade personnel as required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
* Undertake maintenance, inspection and repair activities at customer depots as directed by the Workshop Supervisor or the Workshop Manager.
* Undertake general workshop duties.
* Other duties that may be required from time to time by the Company
* Actively suggest and encourage quality improvements to Acklea products and systems.
* Demonstrate good fault diagnostic skills.
* Maintain good productivity levels.
* Ensure the correct PPE is worn/used and report any failings through the reporting procedure
* Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly, is legible and handed in on time.
* Conduct themselves in a professional manner both at Acklea, in customer depots and whilst driving, treating members of the public with courtesy at all times.
* Highlight any shortfalls or issues relating to safety or maintenance immediately to the appropriate manager.
* Maintain a clean and tidy work area and ensure all tooling and specialist equipment is checked, tested and compliant in line with company policy.
* Maintain sufficient security measures to prevent theft of company/personal property
Qualifications
* A Full UK / Irish / EU Manual Driving Licence
* 6 points or fewer on your driving licence (for insurance purposes)
* Aged 21 or above (for insurance purposes)
* Level 3 NVQ or Equivalent in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
* Demonstrated experience of auto electrics / mechanics desired
* Organisational skills
* Punctual and reliable
* Have a flexible and positive approach to work
* The ability to pass a security check that includes Criminality, Financial and Employment References
