Permanent Veterinary Nurse - Luton, Bedfordshire

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Luton for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join their team. This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 5 days with shifts between 8:30am and 7:30pm, along with 1 in 3 Saturdays from 8:30am to 12:30pm. There are no Sundays, OOH or bank holidays.

About the role:
8. There is a mixture of early and late shifts
9. The role will involve a variety of nurse duties including in patient care, nurse consultations, radiography, laboratory work, anaesthesia and theatre work, diagnostics and assisting the Vets
10. Nurses are encouraged to perform schedule three duties.
11. The role offers a generous CPD and allows nurses to pursue areas of special interest
12. The role offers clinical coaching opportunities so it would be an advantage for the RVN to have clinical coaching experience but not essential

15. They are equipped with facilities including dental x-ray, digital x-ray, a new dental suit, Ultrasound and in house laboratory
16. They can offer a wide variety of cases and believe in case continuity and offer support to the team where required
17. They have a supportive nursing team of 2 RVNs, 1 SVN and 2 VCAs
18. The Nursing team are confident in schedule 3 procedures
19. The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

About you:
24. They are looking for a Nurse who is able to work well as part of a team but also independently using their own initiative when required

27. The Nurse will have great communication skills, organisational skills and have an approachable manner
28. They will provide an excellent service to all clients and be able to build rapport easily
Package
29. Salary: Up to £29, per annum, commensurate to experience
