Senior Finance Business Partner
Location: Woolpit
Purpose of the role
To support the monthly reporting cycle, the forecasting and business planning processes, and to maintain and develop relationships with key internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Month end reporting: support month end processes, own selected business areas / cost centres, prepare and post journals, produce and present monthly financial performance packs to budget holders and stakeholders.
* Budgeting, forecasting and business planning: support annual budgeting and business plan updates, guide budget holders through the process, produce outputs for BIP, BUUK Senior Management and budget holders, deliver insight and analysis of budgets, present budget packs to the Executive team, support group-level cost areas.
* Support senior finance manager: deliver group balance sheet model, group budget submission, annual business valuation model, ad‑hoc models for investment and corporate initiatives.
* Insight and analysis: monitor KPIs, engage finance and business teams to remediate deviations, support internal review procedures, develop material for monthly Finance Review meetings.
* Systems development: support IT, project and external consultants to maintain integrity and enhance financial accounting, reporting and planning systems.
Qualifications
* Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
Experience / Knowledge
* Management accounting / business partnering experience with a proven track record in delivering results on time and building relationships at various levels.
Abilities / Skills
* Competent user of Excel with experience interpreting spreadsheets containing a variety of formulas.
Desirable
* Commercial environment practical experience.
* Line management experience.
* Knowledge of Microsoft D365, Atlas and Prophix.
