Our Client
Our client is a well-established, family-run development and manufacturing company specialising in the design, development and manufacture of electronic power systems. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a hands-on Machine Shop Supervisor to lead and support their CNC manufacturing team.
The Role
This is a practical, shop-floor-based leadership position. You will oversee CNC programming, setting and machining operations while ensuring production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, organise and motivate a team of machine shop operatives
* Oversee CNC programming of machines in line with engineering drawings (SolidCAM experience advantageous)
* Supervise machine setting and operation in accordance with company procedures
* Expedite production to ensure parts are manufactured on time and to specification
* Manage raw material stock in line with production requirements
* Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve technical and quality issues
* Perform basic machine maintenance and support continuous improvement
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment using 5S+1 principles
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards
Experience & Skills
* Minimum 5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment, including supervisory responsibility
* Strong CNC machining background
* Solid understanding of programming principles; SolidCAM experience desirable (training available)
* Proven ability to optimise machine utilisation, reduce costs and improve quality
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capability
* Confident communicator at all levels, internally and externally
* Full driving licence and own transport

Hours
* Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:45pm
* Friday: 8:00am – 12:30pm
