We’re working with a fast-growing and highly creative beauty business to find a Creative Packaging Designer / Artworker to join their close-knit product development team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a brand that is known for bringing innovative, trend‑led cosmetic products to market. You’ll play a key role in delivering engaging gifting ranges, working across the full design lifecycle, from concept through to print‑ready artwork.
Initially offered as a 12‑month fixed‑term contract with a view of going permanent following a successful review period.
The Role
Working within the gifting and product development team, you will collaborate closely with Brand, Innovation, and NPD teams to create visually compelling and commercially successful product ranges.
You’ll also partner with cross‑functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, and Quality to ensure all artwork meets both creative and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop packaging artwork from initial concept through to final print‑ready files
* Interpret and respond to both internal and external design briefs
* Ensure brand consistency across all product ranges
* Create high‑quality mock‑ups and visual presentations
* Adapt and refine artwork based on feedback from stakeholders
* Prepare multi‑language packaging artwork, including ingredients and legal copy
* Stay ahead of trends and contribute fresh ideas for new product concepts
* Support product imagery, including basic retouching and lifestyle visuals
* Collaborate with internal teams including Regulatory, Product, Quality, and Sustainability
* Conduct thorough checks on artwork for accuracy and consistency
* Review and amend production files received from suppliers
* Maintain and update internal trackers and documentation
* Provide support across additional projects as required
About You
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar creative/design role (ideally within beauty, FMCG, or packaging)
* Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
* Solid understanding of print processes and artwork setup
* High attention to detail with a meticulous approach to your work
* Confident managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
* Comfortable working cross‑functionally with various teams
* Proactive, organised, and able to prioritise workload effectively
* Experience with image editing is beneficial but not essential
* Basic Excel skills for maintaining trackers and documentation
