RPS Occupational Health for an exhilarating opportunity as a Senior Occupational Health Advisor, where you'll become an integral part of our esteemed in-house Occupational Health team, serving one of our valued public sector clients. This a permanent, onsite role based in Cheltenham, with the added perk of occasional travel to both sites, this role promises dynamic challenges and endless opportunities for professional growth.

About The Team

The RPS Occupational Health business is a team of clinicians that take pride in actively promoting and maintaining good health in the workplace, through undertaking risk-based health surveillance, wellbeing, health screening and case management.

We're a team of qualified, Occupational Health Nurses, Doctors, Technicians and Advisors. We foster a culture of trust, respect, and collaboration, with shared goals for individual and company success. We emphasise quality over quantity, limiting case management assessments to six per day for manageable workloads and superior service, boosting staff morale and retaining our staff for the long term.

About You

As a key member of the Occupational Health business, your role as Senior Occupational Health Advisor is critical to helping our clients manage health and wellbeing solutions.

You will deliver consultations covering fitness for work, absence management, and employee assistance programmes.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Occupational Health Advisor, you'll spearhead the delivery of top-tier services encompassing complex case management, neurodiversity support, health surveillance, screening, and health promotion. Your key responsibilities include:

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to uphold impeccable standards of clinical practice, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Mentoring and guiding a team of Occupational Health Advisors, fostering a culture of engagement and motivation.

Overseeing the workflow and utilization of our occupational health nurse team, ensuring seamless operations.

Actively participating in commercial initiatives and cross-team collaborations to optimize resource utilization and workflow efficiency.

Skills, Knowledge, And Experience

Experienced in all aspects of Occupational Health service delivery including health service delivery, fitness for work and screening procedure (must be proficient with interpreting health surveillance results including audiometry, spirometry, HAVS)

Robust clinical governance attitude and leads by example to their team and the business

Excellent communication skills and ability to chair regular team meetings

Approachable style and easy to connect with

Pragmatic approach and strong decision-making ability

Management qualification at certificate level or above desirable but not essential

High degree of self-motivation and management

Strong organisational skill

Proficient IT skills including MS Word / Excel / Teams or equivalent

Strong team player and able to lead by example

Able to occasionally travel to team meetings and Manchester/Gloucestershire sites

Qualifications

Registered Nurse on NMC Register, holding a post-registration qualification in Occupational Health

Full UK Driving Licence Is Preferred But Not Essential
