Job Requisition ID: 13718
Business Unit: OCR
Location: United Kingdom
Posted Date: 30 Apr 2025
Subject: GCSE Combined Science

About the role
As an examiner, you will mark completed exam papers against a mark scheme, working as part of a team with a supervisor who will guide you through the process and answer any queries.
Exams for this subject are marked on-screen using RM Assessor.
We will ensure you are fully trained to understand the exam process and your role in it. Standardisation activities will be conducted to ensure consistent application of the mark scheme.
The marking window typically lasts 2-3 weeks, occurring between May and July.
The number of scripts allocated depends on the qualification level and script length. Typically, you can expect to be assigned between 200 and 450 scripts.
Fees are paid per script marked, depending on the complexity and level of the paper. Examiners can earn between £240 and £1,500 for marking a full allocation. Specific details and fees will be provided when an examining task is offered.
