Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser / Pharmacy Student to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications and providing exceptional patient care. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the correct medications in a timely manner. Your expertise in medication administration and pharmacy practices will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of service.
SATURDAY Vacancy- 9-1pm - with adhoc extra hours in the week as needed to cover holidays where possible.
Responsibilities
* Accurately dispense prescribed medications to patients, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Assist pharmacists in preparing and labelling medications for distribution.
* Provide information to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions.
* Maintain accurate records of prescriptions dispensed and manage inventory levels effectively.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication management.
* Conduct regular checks on medication stock, ensuring that expired items are removed promptly.
* Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
* Previous experience preferred but not mandatory
* knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols.
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and support.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems for record keeping and inventory management.
