About the Role
At Pinewood Residential Home, we provide exceptional, personalised care for our 33 residents. Our dedicated team creates a warm, friendly, and nurturing environment where residents enjoy respect, dignity, and quality of life. We are now seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to lead our care team.
Main Duties
* Provide strong leadership and guidance to our dedicated care team, ensuring consistently high standards of care.
* Safely administer medication and ensure accurate record-keeping.
* Develop, review, and update personalised care plans and risk assessments.
* Communicate effectively with GPs, nurses, external healthcare professionals, and residents’ families.
* Support residents to maintain balanced nutrition and hydration.
* Uphold our home’s commitment to exceptional hygiene, safety, and care standards.
* Promote the health, well-being, and independence of our residents.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant, ideally in elderly care.
* Leadership experience or the ability to confidently guide and supervise a team.
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care preferred (support available to achieve Level 3).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Empathetic, respectful, and genuinely passionate about providing high-quality care.
* Able to work effectively both independently and within a supportive team environment.
