S E N Early Years Practitioner - Poole
Pay: From £14.25 per hourStart Date: ASAP
Prospero Teaching is delighted to be supporting a warm, inclusive early years setting in Poole. They are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 or 3 qualified) to join their team and provide high-quality support for children aged 0-5 with a range of additional needs.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood development, with a particular interest in supporting children with SEND, including Autism, Speech & Language delay, sensory needs, and social-emotional development.
What Youll Be Doing
As an SEN Early Years Practitioner, you will:
* Support daily routines and learning activities within the early years environment
* Provide nurturing, individualised support for children with additional needs
* Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive setting
* Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate, SEN-focused activities
* Encourage childrens communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
* Work closely with colleagues, SENCOs, and external professionals
* Communicate positively with parents and carers
* Uphold safeguarding, health, and safety policies at all times
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you:
* Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification
* Have experience supporting children in an early years or SEN setting
* Bring warmth, patience, and a child-centred approach
* Understand the EYFS framework and early child development
* Communicate clearly and kindly with families and colleagues
* Are reliable, flexible, and a strong team player
Requirements
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
* Have the Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
* Provide two professional references from the past 24 months
* Be available for full-time hours, Monday to Friday
